After a roaring success on marketplaces like Flipkart, Snapdeal etc, The Fappy Store had just launched its own e-commerce portal. The challenge was to create higher brand awareness and recall among the consumers. Moreover, the secondary motive was generating sales from their e-commerce portal and building a consumer base for the brand.
To meet the desired goals, our team of digital marketing experts presented a wonderful idea of “Friends with Benefits Day”. We coined this day in India just before the friendship day weekend and picked influencers with an interest in shopping and lifestyle products, and with a notable following on Twitter. In addition to the influencer-based campaign, we asked questions on Twitter about friendship and benefits.
The concept of #FriendsWithBenefitsDay worked wonderfully. We started trending on Twitter in no time and kept trending for more than 9 hrs. Our hashtag got an immense response not only from Twitterati but also from other brands . The activity was so well accepted and celebrated that it seemed as if 31st July was the official “Friends with Benefits” Day. The day was not only covered on Twitter but also on various blogs on channels such as India Today.
